An excellent brewery owned pub with well-kept ales, a nice food menu and helpful friendly staff. I have eaten here several times and always go vack when visiting relatives nearby.
We really can’t say how much we love coming to this place. From the welcoming smiles from the staff, awesome talks with everyone and the best pints around. If ever you want great food and even better atmosphere, you’ve found your place! Special mention to Phil and Izzy for always going the extra mile. We had our wedding reception here yesterday and it was the most amazing experience. Phil upgraded us from the function room to the restaurant downstairs & let me set up the night before. They were so accommodating and welcoming. Everyone in the wedding party had such a fabulous time, the atmosphere was great. Phil even managed to get a singer for a few hours which was amazing. Honestly best wedding reception I could of asked for. Thanks again guys you helped make our day perfect. Would 100% recommend having events here. Xxx
Food perfectly done. The small plates are so good value for money. So happy. Beer garden lush touch. Great sun trap. I will definitely go back and i recommend this place to anyone.
Not having eaten here yet I am unable to review the food. But I have been 4 times recently as part of our antinatal class and we utilised one of the function rooms upstairs. I found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere to be positive each time we came. I’m looking forward to eating when our Little Man settles into routines.

Had a great experience this evening at The Grasshopper. At a loose end for a bite to eat and thought we’d give it a go. Really happy we did. We were looked after by Neil and Phil. The service was fantastic. Great interaction and conversation. The food was really enjoyable and served in a timely manner that you’d want and expect. No waiting around, just what we needed. Thanks Gents and complements to the Chef. We’ll be back.
Went today for a late lunch. This is my local so I have to be loyal... but that's not difficult because it's a great pub. Lovely staff, excellent food. Restaurant if you fancy formal or the bar which is cosy and has a fire. Lots of outdoor tables with heating. Pub quiz Monday and DJ on Saturday. Dogs welcome. I've posted a range of food from the different menus they offer, their Christmas dinner was really good
